So....well it was ok. I mean it was hard not being with family. I had Strohs and her family, but it still wasn't mine. Plus it didn't feel like xmas cause I busted my butt prior to and after, so it was like just another day off to me. I know that they will get better over time, it's just hard right now.

I did get a few things. Strohs and her kids got me a cute small purple purse, and I got some gift cards from family, and my boyfriend got me the game I wanted and a gift card to this store, so it wasn't all bad.

So I have to vent, cause I was so friggen stressed the entire time I was leaving work tonight. Ok, so yes I'm a Cali girl, and I've never experienced weather below 35, nor have I ever had to worry about whether or not my friggen truck was going to freeze....so what does it do tonight, GET TO 25 DEGREES!!! So I'm trippin' about the damn ice on the road, and if my truck is going to die on me, and then I get gas and find out that my tires had only 20 PSI IN THEM!!! So I was kickin' myself in the arse for that one. I should have never let them get that low. So I was able to fill two of my tires to 38 PSI, when the bloody air hose FROZE!!!! Can you believe that shite, it froze....so now my front two tires have 38 PSI and my back two for all I know only have 20 PSI because my dumb ass.....well anyway....I hate Texas weather and I've only been here two months.....Plus I have to learn about what to do with my truck to keep it from freezing or dieing on me, cause I sure as hell can't afford to fix the damn thing......ugh......sigh.....ok I'm done......haha....

So I met this guy at work, his name is Blaine. He's an older guy, but not a lot older, and he's sweet. He's kind to me, says I'm beautiful and is very attentive. We have a lot in common, which is funny seeing as the age difference sets us at least a decade apart, I blame it on my father. He was the one who got me to love 70s and 80s music.

So we went out this past Saturday and saw the new James Bond movie, then had dinner. It was great, I really like him, he really likes me. I'm going to see him again this weekend, I really hope that this one isn't a dude like the others. Maybe the age difference is what mattered. Maybe I was never meant to be with someone my own age. Who knows, all I can say is that I'm happy, and it's not a false happiness like it was with the others, it's genuine and I know it's real.

So I applied for a receptionist job at a dental office near my house, I have an interview with them on Friday, cross your fingers.

Ok so I worked till 2pm and then rushed home, quickly changed and hoped into Strohs van and we drove an hour and a half to her friends house for turkey and fun times. It was fun, the food was great, deep fried turkey for the first time, it was so juicy, so yummy, and the gravy was so yummy, mmmm I want more....

Yea so today was black Friday, I had to be at work at 4:30am....had three hours of sleep....my fault, but hell, can you blame me.....anyway, it was alright, went by almost really fast. There were tons of people, and many who showed up too late and walked in, then walked right now. There were three areas of electronics on flats all wrapped up waiting for the 5am point. Once it hit 5am, it was on.

I have never heard the alarm go off so many times...was annoying, but I got off at 11:30 am, came home and slept till 5pm...that's what sucked, oh well...

So within an hour of clocking in tonight, I notice a lady in the self checkout that isn't scanning everything that she's putting in her bags. Almost hyperventilating I have them call the assets protection guy and I go back to my "post". I stop the woman and ask for her receipt, well there were only two items on the receipt but at least half a dozen in plastic bags. I ask her about them and she goes into this shpeal that they were items that she was going to return, but she had no receipt for them and there were no "tags" on them that you would get from the Greeter when you entered the store. David, the AP guy, I guess saw that I was nervous and stepped in asking her what door she came in and a few other questions, in the process he calls the other gal who works as AP and she comes over. They end up taking the woman to the security room and I don't see her for at least 45 mins to an hour, then the police show up and next thing you know she's being taken out in hand cuffs. I guess they ended up showing her the tape, which showed that she had stuffed the stuff but didn't scan it, and all that. So yes, I caught my first "perp"....haha.... *pats self on back*

So this will be the first time that I've not been with family and it's scary. But I will be spending it with my roommate and it sounds like I might have my first deep fried turkey, sad thing is I have to call it an early night, cause I have to work at 430am the very next day. Up side to that is I get off at 1130am and don't have to be back to work until 7am. It's like having a day and a half off.

Awesome, I have the 21st and 22nd off, I know that the only way this would work is because the pay periods end on Fridays, whoop whoop, guess I need to see about doing something, besides sitting at home.

We'll see....

So I had my second interview and I pee'd in a cup....yuck....so now I wait for them to get the results from that and the background check and I'm set. I should hear back probably on Monday.

Went out with Strohs last night, it was cool, saw the place that she goes to, when she gets to go. It would have been better if it hadn't been a Wednesday, but I'm sure that there will be plenty of chances to go when there are more people.

So I had to work on Halloween, and I did my bet to dress up, short notice and all. But I had a good time, and here's a few pics.

Alright, so it's not really what I wanted to do, I really wanted to do the Cashier thing, but hey, it's better than nothing. I make $9/hr to stand at a door and say hi and bye to people. For the most part it's good, but there are times where my body says get off me.

The sucky thing is that I can't move to a different position for six months. I know that they could override that if they wanted, I guess it's a matter of them wanting to. Oh well.... such is life....

Orientation is on the 14th at 9am sharp....whoop whoop....*rolls eyes*.... anyway looks like I've got a job, but I'm sure I'll need another, cause I doubt that I'll get the pay and hours I truly need to survive, but we'll see.

Got a call from Wal-Mart in Highland Village, they want me to come in for an interview, so that is cool. It's something better than nothing. We'll see what happens.

Well I am finally here and my net is set up. I like the new place and the town is cute. Yes it is called The Colony and no it's not a cult, *wags finger at everyone* anyway, things are good and I'm looking for jobs. I hope to get one soon. Well bye bye for now.
